Business Development Manager [Arai Motorcycle & Motorsport]

Reporting to Senior Brand Manager, Arai

Job Purpose

The primary functions of this role is the commercial development of Arai Motorcycle Helmets and Arai Motorsport Helmets within the UK dealer network. The position will require excellent communication and business development skills with key person relationship building. Time management will also be a clear requirement to ensure that Arai receives the necessary development.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Support the day to day sales and marketing of Arai helmets
  • Establish and agree sales and marketing budgets for new season (2018 onwards) and to be measured against these.
  • Implement dealer POS and Instore promotional activity
  • Be a key point of contact for each dealership / supported pilots
  • Arrange and execute all outdoor events and promotional days
  • Establish an ongoing view of expansion for the Motorsport division – new products, initiatives etc
  • Competitor analysis – ongoing analysis of market penetration and SWAT
  • Product training – certificated to dealers to cover all aspects of Arai safety
  • Establish clear brand values and clearly communicate that through activity
  • High level technical support for prospective customers
  • Technical advice and account manager support for existing dealers and technical partners
  • Negotiating sales pricing and contracts – with support of brand manager
  • Take ownership for a proportion of the growth plan for volume – work towards volume and sales targets
  • Competitor analysis – ongoing ‘ear to the ground’ for competitor pricing and activity
  • Technical training for dealers and technical partners
  • Industry leading package based on experience with company vehicle.

Time management will also be a clear requirement to ensure that Motul receives the necessary activity to achieve significant market share growth in line with agreed 5 year plan.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Support the day to day sales and marketing of Motul.

Motorcycle Product Specialist [South]

Reporting to Senior Brand Manager

Job Purpose

As Motorcycle Product Specialist, you will be responsible for the professional promotion and support of all Motodirect brands through our key independent and multiple accounts. The primary focus will be on sales and product training ensuring the continued growth of our brands within the motorcycle retail network.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

  • 6 week call cycle for your identified multiple stores (8 visits per year)
  • In store training across all brands, leading to all staff being familiar and confident selling Motodirect products
  • Assisting with merchandising, correct POS placement and use and striving to have Motodirect products prime positioning in-store
  • Offering direct warranty and sales support, by being first point of contact for all major issues.
  • Building long term relationships with store managers and staff
  • Feeding back information via monthly activity reports to the Senior Brand Manager with content focusing on driving sales, reacting to competitors and future product and marketing needs.
  • Fixing problems and issues in a prompt manner
  • Offering a higher overall level of service and support than any of our competitors
  • Support Motodirect commitments with the Ron Haslam Race School, BSB Race Service & Dealer Open Days. Event schedule to be defined and agreed with Race Dept.
  • Support Account Managers as and when required in support of Motodirect’s sales and marketing activities.
  • Support Motodirect’s commitments at various shows and events throughout the year i.e. Motorcycle Live, Autosport Show, International Dirtbike Show and Trade Expo

What your responsibilities will be…

As Digital Sales Executive, you'll work with existing and new clients to understand their business requirements and digital service needs. Using that knowledge, you'll set-up and optimise programmatic display campaigns, monitor existing campaigns and report on completed campaigns. You’ll also scope out new leads in our target industries and take a proactive approach in contacting potential new business. Your passion for digital marketing means that you'll always be up to speed with the latest trends and will be able to evaluate the potential use of new technologies as part of campaigns.

IT Support Assistant Vacancy


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the IT department at MotoDirect Ltd for an IT Support Assistant to join our team at our Derbyshire head office.

This is a first line support role involving network and hardware support, EPOS support and Microsoft software support. You will also be involved in liaising with support companies. Creating and/or running basic reports and management information. There will be some Microsoft Dynamics NAV work required. You will also be responsible for managing software upgrades, basic PC maintenance including moving PCs, installing new PCs, installing software into existing PCs and daily checks of networks and servers.

To be successful you must have the ability to work on your own initiative, solve problems and make decisions as well as demonstrating extremely strong literacy skills, possessing a high level of organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload. You will have good attention to detail, high level of communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge of MS Office combined with being adaptable and able to function in a fast paced and demanding environment.

The position's primary focus will be in the areas of computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), helpdesk, Microsoft Office and networking support.

The ideal candidate will exercise judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determines when to refer problems to the manager or next level of support.

Reporting to the IT and Communications Manager the right person for this role will be diverse who is able to work alone as well as part of a team.

Requirements

Education: College graduate or equivalent with computer operations certification such as Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent. A level in IT technologies beneficial.

Skills and Experience: Two or more years of related experience with computers including Windows operating systems and understand simple networking infrastructure. You will require the knowledge of a variety of hardware as well as software, notably Microsoft Office and Active Directory. Experience in Apple OS X would also be beneficial.
